The Law Office of Maureen K. Gour was founded in July of 2003 when I left a larger firm to start my own practice in Boynton Beach, Florida. I received my B. A. in Accounting from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1992. After practicing for a time in this field, I became a claims adjuster for a major insurance underwriter in the northeast area.
After several years, I decided to continue my education by attending Suffolk University Law School while maintaining my full-time employment. I was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association in 2001 and the Florida Bar Association and Palm Beach County Bar Association in 2002. Over the last decade, I have gained admission to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida and the United States Tax Court. I have also relocted my practice to the neighboring town of Delray Beach, Florida.
My husband and I enjoy living in this community and are active with several charitable organizations. We are both very grateful to call South Florida our new home.
